Panabo Sales Brand Identity

Panabo Sales Brand Identity Project Image 0

Established in 1970, Panabo Sales is the principal sales and distribution arm of family-owned Magenta Designs and Boma Manufacturing. Their unique strength lies in providing customers a full range of gift and souvenir products, which are proudly Canadian-made. This strength and offering formed the basis of the identity redesign.

The company is able to design and create anything the people of Panabo can dream up. No word of a lie, they literally have three blocks of factories on Vancouver’s North Shore, where one can find resident artists, wood carvers, silk screeners, seamstresses, designers, draftsmen, moulders and trades people working on-site daily. It’s quite an impressive operation. Panabo also commissions native artists for their designs and has special right to certain Bill Reid pieces which they reproduce.

From this tremendous capacity sprung a visual identity with a fresh, modern and versatile tone, which was deployed across the spectrum of the company’s communications materials. The three peaks of the maple leaf represent the three companies and business model which make up Panabo: Magenta – textiles and soft goods; BOMA – hard goods; Panabo – sales arm and umbrella company.
